Jake and Zophia were so sweet to invite us along to Goodyear's Demolition Derby. The only one I've ever seen was on The Dukes of Hazzard, so it was a brand new experience. I was a little nervous about the cold outdoor air and the late hour ending, but it turned out to be just perfect. Brooklynn had a great time cheering on the cars and an even better time playing silly games with Jacob. Mickey sat quietly in my lap, just people watching, until he got a little crabby and I put him over my shoulder, where he slept through noise the likes of which he'd never heard… in his whole life. I was as impressed by this as I was by the derby itself.
