I realized something scary...

When Jason and Sarah and the girls were in town this past week, I realized something. Something scary. With them in town, (even though Laura didn't make it up with Jackson) there were still SEVEN children. Seven! We had a three-year-old, two two-year-olds, a one-year old and three under one. And here came my realization... There will only be more of them. There will never be more of us. Sure, Daniel will get married, Teresa will get married - their others will become 'us' - but then they'll have kids too! We are going to be so outnumbered. If we mess up, this could be dangerous. Especially with Brooklynn as a ringleader. She's got fire. Fire's good - when something needs to be lit she'll have the ability to set it ablaze. Right now her tendency is to light anything that may burn. We're going to need help directing that.

I've attached some of my favorite pictures from the visit. I think they best sum up what the week looked like.

Hannah, Brooklynn and Emma, under Barbara's table:

(And a flashback to last visit):

Gooooood Lookin'!

"C'mon girls!"

I love this one. Everything's out of focus except Hannah's determined face.

Pool time!!!

Here's Mickey, clinging to Teresa's shoulder and havin' fun with the girls.

Jason and Grace

(This belongs in a magazine for baby pool gear. She was actually in the middle of turning over, using her hands, but the shot ended up looking quite posed. Guess it just comes natural to her!)

At Mary's baptism party...

Mary and her Great Granddad

Of course there was dress-up time

This is a great one. Aunt Teresa's so awesome.
(Compare Emma in this to Jason in the next picture. Tell me they're not related!)

So tired.

Michelle put it best, "That is so the classic picture. It could just as easily be all of us in the picture."

And, the shot of the week... Hannah and Mickey
You should see this shot blown up. Beautiful.

  1. Such cute pictures! Seven can be crazy. There are seven grandkids on Jon's side of the family, so when we get together for Sunday dinner every week it is pretty hectic.
