Christmas

I'm a little late, but thought I'd recount our wonderful Christmas this year...

The morning we spent as a family for the first time. The last two with Brooklynn we spent the night at my parents'. This is mostly because Josh's parents live around the corner and they always have a big Christmas Eve party that we go to. This year, Ryan went solo. We just thought Brooklynn was old enough to really enjoy the morning, and we wanted to establish that tradition of spending it together, just the four of us, before heading out to see the rest of the fam. It was a wonderful morning. Brooklynn opened her own presents and helped Mickey open his. We sat on the floor, talking and laughing until it was time to go downstairs and make breakfast. There was a glitch here and there with "that perfect Christmas morning" - mostly because Brooklynn hadn't gotten quite enough sleep - but, then again, little arguements and a bit of stress are supposed to be a part of the Christmas experience, right? Whatever. It was perfect.

After that, we headed over to my parents' house. They were having everyone over for pulled pork sandwiches in the early evening, but we headed over there early because we knew we'd get to see Corey (and his parents). As it turned out, they stayed for the whole party, which was great. It was fun, as always. Catch Phrase was in the highlight reel.

The next day... to come.

  1. I love the picture of B handing M a present. She looks so excited to find out what's inside, and he's looking at her like she's nuts. Love it!
